Local SEO in New Hampshire

What does the Local SEO Engine get your business?

The Local SEO Engine from Optimus Business Solutions in Salem, New Hampshire, gets your business found in more of the places customers and AI assistants look, so you get chosen more often. It puts you on the seven free profiles they check, all from one verified record you own, builds a reputation they trust around your finished jobs, and confirms your site is indexed on Google and Bing so you turn up where the answers get written.

Every customer who searches Google Maps, asks Siri, checks Yelp, scrolls Nextdoor, or asks an AI assistant who to call is a job you can win, and each one reads a different profile with its own rules. So we write your business down once, correctly: one name, one phone, one address, hours, services, categories, service areas, and a description in four lengths. When a fact changes, it changes in one place and we push it everywhere, so you never lose a customer to a wrong number or a stale listing.

How you get there

From one competitor benchmark to seven places customers find you

  1. Open blank notebook under a brass lamp on a paint-flecked workbench beside worn leather gloves and a brass pencil

We learn what it takes to beat your top competitor

We read the top local competitor's profiles on all seven platforms, map the words customers use to find every service, and write one verified record of your business built to outrank them.

  2. Open laptop and a phone with blank gold-lit screens on a dark wooden kitchen table beside a stained mug

One call, seven accounts, every one in your name

In one scheduled call, all seven accounts get created in your name on your email, with verification staged while you are on the line. Nothing waits on a second meeting, and none of it lands on your plate later.

  3. Seven soft gold bars of light rising behind a scratched dark glass tile on black leather

Live in more places, indexed, and measured

Each profile goes live from the same record, your website is confirmed indexed where the answers get written, and analytics runs on your site. You finish with a written readiness report and a 90-day plan, so you can see what brings the calls.

More places customers find you

Seven more places to be found, all telling the same story

Every listing shows the same name, phone, hours, services, and service area, so customers and AI assistants always get the right business. When a fact changes later, it changes once.

  • Google Business Profile

Created or claimed, categories and services set from your record, verification prepared, and the profile live on Google Maps.

  • Apple Business Connect

Your listing on Apple Maps and Siri, set up wherever Apple's eligibility rules allow your type of business to hold one.

  • Bing Places

Claimed or created and matched to the record, so Bing and every AI assistant that reads it shows the same business and phone.

  • Yelp for Business

Added, claimed, and filled in completely on the free listing. Yelp forbids review requests, so we honor that rule.

  • Nextdoor for Business

Your business in front of the neighborhoods you already serve, with the documents Nextdoor asks for staged ahead of time.

  • Yellow Pages

The free listing, claimed with the name matched exactly to Google so every citation agrees and nothing drifts apart.

  • Better Business Bureau

The free business profile, created and verified through the bureau. Accreditation and every paid tier stay unpurchased.

  • Analytics and Search Console

Google Analytics, Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools created inside your own accounts, with your website indexed.

Why each place ranks you differently

Each place picks who to show, and this makes it you

Each platform decides who to show by its own rules, reads its own fields, and checks your details against the others. Here is what each one weighs, in plain words, and what we set from your record to win the spot.

  • Google Business Profile

Google publishes three factors: relevance, distance, and prominence. Google also says a business with complete and accurate information is more likely to show up, and that nobody can pay for a better local ranking.

From the record: your real-world name, the most specific category, every service described, true hours, and up to 20 service areas. Then verification is staged and your website is confirmed indexed.

  • Apple Business

Apple publishes no ranking rules at all. The one lever Apple confirms is the primary category. The stars on an Apple Maps card come from Yelp, and Google reviews never appear there. Apple lists storefronts only.

From the record: we claim the card Apple already made instead of creating a duplicate, verify the business, match name, address, phone, and hours to your website, and set the category Apple searches on.

  • Bing Places

Bing publishes three factors: relevance, distance, and popularity, measured by reviews on sites like Yelp and by how often your business is mentioned across the web. Bing checks every edit against trusted outside data, and a mismatch can be refused or overwritten.

From the record: claim or create, up to 10 categories, the address hidden for a service-area business, every checklist item cleared, and the listing refreshed inside six months so Bing keeps trusting it.

  • Yelp for Business

Yelp sorts on the search terms, distance, ratings, engagement, and reviews relevant to the search, with extra weight on quote requests made through Yelp. Open now beats closed. Since July 2026, Yelp ratings and reviews also appear in ChatGPT answers.

From the record: claim the card, verify by phone, three categories, six service cities, and Request a Quote switched on with an auto-response so you answer fast. We never ask for a Yelp review, because Yelp forbids it.

  • Nextdoor for Business

Nextdoor ranks you neighborhood by neighborhood. The more recommendations from verified neighbors in a neighborhood, the higher you appear there, and the more neighborhoods that recommend you, the more neighbors can see your page, out to 50 miles from your address.

From the record: claim the page, verify with your business documents, all ten categories, a bio written in a neighbor's voice, the address hidden, and the recommendation QR code Nextdoor built handed to you.

  • Yellow Pages

Yellow Pages sorts on proximity, expertise in the specific service, and comprehensive business information, and says advertisers get higher placement. One free claim publishes to yellowpages.com, superpages.com, and dexknows.com in machine-readable form.

From the record: the name identical to Google, every old name in the AKA field, the services field filled as the expertise lever, categories, hours, and photos. We never submit the paid advertising lead form.

  • Better Business Bureau

The BBB letter grade comes from complaint history, time in business, transparency, licensing, and advertising practices. BBB states that customer reviews are not used in the grade, and a grade can drop when a business ignores the bureau's requests.

From the record: the free profile filed with your legal name and DBA exactly right, categories, services, license numbers, and a complaint-response practice you can run. We never click Get Accredited.

  • What all seven share

Every platform quietly checks your name, address, and phone against every other platform. Bing validates edits against outside data. BBB asks that even Main St. and Main Street never disagree. Apple corrects mismatches from customer reports. When they disagree, the platform picks a winner, and it may not be you.

From the record: one name, one local phone identical to your website, and one address entered the same way everywhere, even where it stays hidden. We remove the disagreement.

Seen by every AI assistant

Get seen by every AI assistant, not just half of them

A page a search engine has not stored cannot show up for a single customer, on any map, or in any AI answer that engine builds, so getting stored, which is called indexed, is the difference between being found and being invisible. Google is 86.6% of US search (StatCounter, July 2026), so nobody skips it. Bing is 8.63% of US search and 12.06% on desktop (StatCounter, July 2026), small on its own, but Bing's index is what Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT search read, so skip Bing and you skip both. We set up both consoles inside your own accounts and confirm the result page by page instead of assuming it, so you are actually there when customers and assistants look.

  • Google Search Console: a Domain property verified by a DNS record generated in your account, the full sitemap submitted, and your home page and top service pages inspected until each one reads on Google.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools: imported from Search Console by your own Google login, a second durable verification, the sitemap, and an IndexNow key hosted on your site so new pages reach Bing fast. Google does not use IndexNow, which is why both consoles exist.
  • Google Analytics 4: one property in your account that receives Search Console data, Business Profile actions, and six key events from your website, with an AI Assistants channel so you can see visits that came from an assistant.

A reputation they trust

How your finished jobs become a reputation customers and AI trust

  1. Contractor packing tools after a completed job

    Ask when they are happiest

The request goes out at the moment a good review is easiest to earn, right after the job is done and the customer is still on site and glad they called you.

  2. Phone in hand showing an unreadable review-request glow

    One plain request, no games

The customer gets one plain request with no suggested rating and no script, on the platforms that allow it. Yelp forbids requests, so Yelp is left out, and honest reviews are the ones customers and AI assistants trust.

  3. Two open glass shop doors spilling warm light onto dark concrete at night

    A reputation they trust

Every customer keeps a private feedback path and the public review path, with no rating gate and no filtering. What builds is a reputation customers and AI assistants trust, and a response practice you can keep up.

Named when customers ask AI

How does your business get named when customers ask AI who to call?

Getting chosen by AI works in three layers, and your profiles feed all of them. SEO ranks you in the list. Answer engine optimization (AEO) makes your page the answer. Generative engine optimization (GEO) gets your business named inside the answer an assistant writes, built from the same profiles above.

  • SEO: you rank in the list

When your profiles and your site agree on name, phone, address, categories, and services, each platform ranks you on its own factors instead of dropping you for a mismatch, so you place higher where customers scroll.

Whitespark's 2025 Local Search Ranking Factors survey (6 Nov 2025) put the primary Google Business Profile category and a dedicated page per service at the top of the local factors.

    Layer 01 of 03
  • AEO: your page becomes the answer

Each service page opens with the direct answer to a question customers ask, and your profiles carry the same hours, services, and areas, so an AI assistant can hand your business back as the answer without guessing.

Google said on 19 May 2026 that AI Overviews passed 2.5 billion monthly active users and AI Mode passed 1 billion, and both read the same Google index and profile as Maps.

    Layer 02 of 03
  • GEO: you get named in the answer

When an assistant writes a local answer, it cites the sources it trusts, and Yelp, Bing, and the BBB are three of your seven profiles, so your business is on the sources the answer is built from.

Foundation Inc. analyzed 28 million AI responses to local queries (Sep to Nov 2025): Yelp earned 512,680 citations, 3.4 times the next platform, and 72.5% of competitive local citations on Google AI Mode.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers before you book

Do I need a website before this makes sense?

Yes, because your website is the foundation and this multiplies it. Every profile sends customers somewhere, and we confirm your site is indexed as part of the setup, so the traffic has a place to land and book. If you are starting from nothing, we build the website first and add the profiles right behind it.

Who owns the accounts when the work is done?

You do, every account and every login, so nothing can be rented back to you later. Each account is created on your email, in your business name. Where a platform allows a manager role, Optimus works as a named manager you can remove at any time. Where it does not, the login lives with you.

Will this put me at the top of Google Maps?

We do not promise a position, because every platform decides its own rankings, and anyone who guarantees the top spot is selling you something. What you get is the same foundation the top competitor in your area already has, set up correctly on every platform, with measurement from day one so you can see what moves you up.

Do you buy Yelp ads, BBB accreditation, or any paid listing?

No, the setup uses the free tier on all seven platforms, so you get found without a monthly ad bill. If a paid product ever makes sense for your business, that is a separate decision you make with the numbers in front of you.

How much of my time does it take?

Very little, just two live moments. One is a short approval of your business record. The other is a scheduled account session with your phone and email in hand, usually under an hour, where all seven accounts get created and every verification is staged, so the setup stays off your plate.

Are reviews and reputation part of the Local SEO Engine?

Yes, and they are built in rather than sold separately, because reviews are one of the ranking inputs on Google, Bing, Yelp, and Nextdoor. We place one plain request into your real closeout process on the platforms that allow one, with no rating gate and no scripted praise, so the reputation you build is one customers and AI assistants trust. Yelp forbids review requests, so it is left out by design.

Can you remove or hide my bad reviews?

No, and we do not gate customers by rating before they reach the public review page, because honest reviews are the ones customers and AI assistants trust. Every customer keeps both the private feedback path and the public review path. What we set up is a response practice you can keep: BrightLocal's January 2025 consumer survey found 63% of consumers expect a business to answer a review within a week, and 85% read reviews on Google, so the answer you write is read by the next customer deciding whether to call.

I work out of my truck with no storefront. Does this still apply?

Yes, and service-area businesses are the majority of what we set up, so you get found across every town you serve without a storefront. Your address stays private on the platforms that support it, and each profile is configured for the areas you cover. Apple Maps has its own eligibility rules, and we tell you up front where you stand.

What does indexed mean, and why do you check it instead of assuming it?

Indexed means a search engine has stored your page, and a page it has not stored cannot appear anywhere, on any map or in any AI answer, so it is the difference between being found and being invisible. A search engine has to find your page, store it, then decide when to show it, and indexed is the storing step. Google Search Console tells us page by page whether you are on Google, and we do not call the Google step finished until your home page and top service pages are. Bing gets the same treatment through Bing Webmaster Tools.

Nobody I know uses Bing. Why do you bother?

Because skipping Bing means skipping the AI assistants your customers already use. Bing is 8.63% of US searches and 12.06% on desktop (StatCounter, July 2026), which is real on its own, but the bigger reason is that ChatGPT search and Microsoft Copilot both read Bing's index. If your site is not in it, you are far less likely to appear in those answers. Getting in costs one import from Search Console, one sitemap, and one IndexNow key, all inside your own account.

Will an AI assistant recommend my business after this?

No one can promise what an assistant says, but you can be present and consistent on the sources they read, which is what gets your business into the answer. ChatGPT builds local answers from Bing's index and, since July 2026, from Yelp's ratings and reviews. Copilot reads Bing. Google's AI features read the same Google index and profile as Maps. Siri reads your Apple card with Yelp's stars. We get you indexed on both search engines, complete on all seven profiles, and we record a baseline of what each assistant cites today so you can see the change.

Why does the same phone number and address have to be everywhere?

Because a wrong number loses the call no matter how well you rank, and every platform checks. Bing only publishes an edit to your name, address, phone, website, or hours if it agrees with trusted outside sources, and a mismatch can be refused or overwritten. Yelp requires the phone to match your website. BBB asks that the address match on every listing, down to Main St. versus Main Street. Nextdoor and Yellow Pages build pages from data feeds, so one wrong number in a feed lands on pages you never made. Consistency will not rank you by itself, and we never sell it that way. It is the floor that makes sure the customer who finds you can actually reach you.
