Apple Business Connect: your business on Apple Maps and Siri
Every iPhone opens Apple Maps by default, and Siri answers from the same business card. We get you onto Apple's surfaces the right way for how you work.
Apple Business Connect optimization
What does Apple Business Connect optimization do for a business?
It puts correct, verified details about your business in front of iPhone users when they search Maps or ask Siri. Apple now calls the tool Apple Business, and Optimus Business Solutions in Salem, New Hampshire sets it up in your name: the organization verified, then either a place card for a location customers visit or a brand profile if you work at customers' homes. Every detail is matched to your website, and the account is watched each month for changes Apple makes from customer reports.

Who looks here
Who finds you through Apple, and what Siri reads
iPhone owners rarely open a different map app. When they ask Siri for an electrician, search Maps for a roofer or type a name into Spotlight, Apple answers from its own business card, not from Google. That card shows the star rating from Yelp, so a business with strong Google reviews and no Yelp page can look unrated on Apple.
- iPhone users asking Siri who to call
- People searching Apple Maps on the way somewhere
- Customers tapping a name in Spotlight, Safari or Messages

The right Apple route for how you work
Apple gives a Maps place card only to a business with a place customers visit, and it always shows that address. A shop, office or showroom gets the card, claimed if Apple already made one. A trade that works at the customer's home gets a verified brand instead, with no pin and nothing private published. Either way the organization is verified under your legal name, and you hold the administrator seat.
- Apple's existing card claimed, not duplicated
- A brand route for businesses without a storefront
- You as administrator on your own Apple Account

A card that matches your website line for line
Apple publishes no ranking rules, but it says the primary category can change how you turn up in search, so that gets chosen with care, plus extra categories that fit. The rest comes from your site's facts: the name on your sign, phone, address with a rooftop pin, regular and holiday hours, an About section, logo, cover, real photos, Good to Know details and buttons such as Book.
- The most specific primary category Apple offers
- A rooftop pin and hours that agree with your site
- Logo, cover and real photos of your work
Every month
Watching for Apple's own edits
Apple corrects business details from what customers report, then sends an email to the account. Left unread, an old closing time or a closed status can stick. Each month the account gets checked, Apple's suggested changes are accepted or put right, holiday hours are added ahead of time, and photos are refreshed. Apple has no review replies of its own, so the replies happen on Yelp, where your stars come from.
- Apple's suggested edits accepted or corrected
- Holiday hours on the card before the season
- Stars watched at their source, on Yelp

Questions owners ask
Apple Business Connect: straight answers
Is Apple Business Connect the same thing as Apple Business?
Yes. In April of this year Apple folded Business Connect and its other business tools into one free service called Apple Business. The name changed, but the job is the same: claiming and managing how your business shows up on Apple Maps, Siri and the rest of Apple's apps.
I have no storefront. Will Apple put me on the map?
Not as a pin. Apple has no way to hide an address, and it expects the address to be a place customers can visit during open hours. Entering a home address anyway can get a business removed, with no appeal. So for a trade without a storefront, the honest route is a verified brand, and the map work happens on Google, Bing and Yelp.
Where do the stars on my Apple Maps card come from?
In the United States, mostly from Yelp. Apple shows the Yelp rating on the card and links to Yelp for the reviews. Google reviews never show up on Apple Maps. Apple also collects its own simple thumbs up or thumbs down ratings from visitors, with no written review attached and nothing to reply to.
What can a brand profile do if I have no location?
A brand gives your business a verified identity on Apple without a map pin. Depending on your account, that can mean your name and logo on emails you send to iPhone users, on your calls, and on Tap to Pay. We check what your account is offered before promising any of it.
Do Showcases come with this?
Showcases are the short promotions Apple lets a place card carry, and they work like posts. Making and placing them belongs to content creation for the professional platforms, the same way posts do on Google. This page covers the card itself, so any promotion added later sits on details that are already right.
