CRM setup on Jobber

Jobber, set up so requests turn into paid jobs

Jobber runs the working day of a home service business: the request, the quote, the visit, the invoice. We set it up for your trade and tie it to your website.

CRM setup on Jobber

What do you set up in Jobber?

We set up Jobber so the path from a customer's first request to a paid invoice runs in one place. Optimus Business Solutions in Salem, New Hampshire builds your services and request form, moves your client list over, adds your team with the right permissions, and puts the request or booking form on your website. Quotes, jobs and invoices then follow the order Jobber was designed around, and your crew learns the phone app they will carry to every job.

Who it fits

Who Jobber is built for

Jobber is field service software for home service trades: plumbers, heating and cooling techs, electricians, cleaners, lawn and snow crews, handymen. It shines when work is requested, quoted, done and billed within days, by an owner and a small crew. It is not a sales pipeline for commercial bids that take months of meetings, and it does not try to be. If that is most of your work, a sales CRM fits better, and we will say so first.

  • Owner-operators and small crews
  • Recurring work like cleaning or lawn care
  • Trades that quote on site and bill the same week

One time

Your services, clients and crew, loaded in

Jobber's building blocks run in order: requests, quotes, jobs, invoices, then payment. We set each one up for how you work, write your services and line items, and import your clients from a spreadsheet, with any extra column, like gate codes or the age of a unit, kept as a custom field. Each team member gets a login with only the permissions their role needs.

  • Services and line items written for your trade
  • Clients imported, extra details kept as custom fields
  • Team logins with permissions set per person

Connected

Requests from your website, straight into Jobber

A Jobber request form on your website sends each new inquiry in as a request, ready to become a quote or a job. Online booking can let customers choose an open slot on your team's calendar. Your dedicated texting number is registered with your business details so texts arrive, and the apps you already use join through Jobber's App Marketplace. Some connections depend on the plan your account is on; we check that before we start.

  • A request or booking form on your site
  • Two-way texting from a registered business number
  • Your other apps joined through the App Marketplace

Yours to run

Your crew trained on the jobs they actually do

We run one real job through Jobber with you, from request to quote to visit to invoice, then show your crew the phone app on the kind of work they do every day. The account is in your business name and you are its admin. We keep a login you can remove, and when your services or your crew change, we update the account so it keeps matching the work.

  • One real job walked through from start to finish
  • Your crew at ease in the phone app
  • Updates when your services or crew change

Questions owners ask

Jobber: straight answers

Answered in seconds from this site only, with a link to where each answer is written.

Can Jobber follow up on quotes for me?

Yes, on accounts that include it. Jobber can send automatic reminders on quotes still waiting for an answer, through the same channel the quote went out, and only to clients whose settings allow it. We write those reminders in your words and set the timing, so a quote that went quiet gets a polite nudge without you remembering it.

What do my customers see on their end?

A client hub: a page reached by a secure link, with no password to make, where they can approve a quote, check an upcoming visit, ask for more work and pay an invoice once online payments are set up. We choose what shows there, so customers handle the small things themselves and your phone rings less.

Will texts from Jobber come from my own cell?

No. Jobber's two-way texting uses a dedicated business number, separate from your personal phone, and that number needs to be registered with your business information or delivery suffers. We take care of the registration and choose which team members can text customers, so each conversation stays on the client's record instead of in someone's pocket.

Can Jobber connect to a tool that has no app for it?

Sometimes. Jobber's Developer Center allows approved custom connections built for a single business, using the same secure sign-in its published apps use. If a tool you depend on has nothing in the App Marketplace, we check whether a custom connection is possible before we promise one.

My records are in a notebook and my phone. Is that enough to start?

Yes, that is where many owners start. Your phone contacts and past invoices go into one spreadsheet, we clean out the duplicates, and the list comes into Jobber as clients. The notebook shows us how your jobs really move, so we keep it.
